Engine Mods
I bought a new '07 Coupe and after less than a 750 miles decided it needed tp go faster. I did my research and came up with Kushan Peykarian at Excelsior Motorsports in San Diego. He built me a "Firebreather" for 13K, and it was worth every penny. Since I'm not a Tech type I'll detail his build sheet.
LS2 CNC Ported heads--CNC Ported/SSValves/TitaniumRetainers/Dual valve springs
Custom Camshaft,Cam Sproket and bolts, Gaskets and seals
FAST LS2 kit 180 degree thermostat, Crank pulley bolt
American Racing Headers/Xpipe with High
flow Cats and Hardware.
3.15 gear set--modify Pinion gear to 30 splines.
Cryo Treatment of Gear Set
Micro polish gear set
75w90 Gear Oil
Z06 3 series Carrier
Dif. upgrade to 3.15 Gearset
OEM Cylinder Head Bolt set
R&R Heads and Cam.. Labor includes the removal of allnec. parts/clean components and assembly of new components.
Modify firewall and install new component for FAST Intake Manifold clearance.
Custom paint FAST Intake Manifold.
R&R Differential--Remove differential for Rinmg and Pinion upgrade.
Engine Dyno Tune--Tune engine for Heads and Cam upgrade.
A6 Trans Programming--Program Trans Computer for 3.25 Gear upgrade and optimal shifting.
I already had an SLP Airbox and a Corsa Exhaust system.
Acceleration is astounding. It runs through all 6 speeds by 38 MPH. Because of my age(65) and driving preference(mostly straight line)
It puts out a few more horsepower than a Z06, but with little tire spin and negligible fishtailing. Compared to my OEM this thing is a "Pocket Rocket". I'm extremely satisfied as are many of Peykarian's San Diego clients.
