Brake Fluid help!

Changing my calipers to some powdercoated ones, and was wondering what type of brake fluid a 08 z51 would use? Thanks in advance!

DOT 3 or 4. I believe it comes with dot 3 stock.. You can use dot 4

Castrol LMA or Valvoline Syntec are just fine

I like Motul RBF600 I use it in the brakes and in the clutch...

I like the motul 600 also, it is not the same spec as stock more heat tolerant is it ok with GM , does any body know.?

Who cares? Motul is far better brake fluid then GM specs.

GM specs are a bit behind the times for Disk brakes. DOT 3 was designed for drum brakes decades ago.

DOT 4 for brake fluid and clutch fluid.

I personally use Castrol SRF brake fluid in the race car and Castrol LMA in the street vette and the pick up trucks

DOT 3, 4 or DOT 5.1 but definitely not DOT 5. The higher the number the higher the temp rating but it also may absorb water faster and therefore degrade faster which is not the best for a DD.
