I need to buy 4 jack stands for my new 08 C6. Ive got it down to two different ones. the min to max height is my only question. (1) 10" 29/32 to 16" 13/32 or (2) 14" 29/32 to 23" 1/2. any help would be great

I would have to say that it really depends on how far up in the air you want the car to go, without it becoming too dangerous.
To give you an example, I installed LG Long Tubes on my garage floor. I was only comfortable with getting the car about 17" off the ground (measuring from the rocker panels to the ground), eventhough my stands went up way further. The 17" was just enough for me to slide the headers in from the bottom, and still have room to work under the car.

 

Do you know how much you will really have to jack your car up to get too #2? A lot and that incline, side to side or front to back, is not what will like

I think mine can go up to 16". I bought 6 from k-mart




I roll my front two wheels up onto two 2"x12"x24" boards, then I can slide the low profile jack under the front to the cross beam.

put a brick behind one rear wheel,
jack up the front to the lowest level of two jack stands.

Them slide jack under the rear to the cross frame and jack up to the lowst point on the jack stands.

Then as needed jack the front up 2" more and the rear 2" more.
That is high enough for oil changes, trans and diff fluid changes. But not at the highest level the jack stands can go
