Yes with a properly working nitrous set up your car will have EASY 10 second potential in it but so much has to come together just right to make it happen.
As it sits now your car has easy mid-high 11s in it as well but as you saw the other night, **** happens.
But there is no doubt, the bottle can make a BIG difference.

Those 4.10s might be a little much (most go with 3.73s or even stay with 3.42s when using nitrous) for the bigger shots but you can always just spray it later as well to make up for them.
Congrats.

go for it Once I have the funding for my weekend Vette, I am looking to make it nasty 700+ HP, but that's along ways away I am not sure of any of the details yet, but I have my personal tag picked out. "700Club" That way the church Folk, think I am headed for heaven and all the other jack asses that want to lose a race to a stock C6, will think twice about even asking for a beating from a sick sleeper!

Well I guess it will look stock, but that whole straight through exhaust, with a cam that almost kills the engine at idle and the whole car shaking the bajesus out of everything within a 100 foot radius of the light, might give it away if they don't know what the tag means.

Oh I hear ya, and it's got to be pretty damn exciting knowing that you just mail ordered yourself upwards of 300+rwhp/300+rwtq!
And yes Rob and the crew will certainly get a kick out of this at the meets (I won't be there tomorrow or next week though unfortunately ).

Does Joe T. know yet?

A nitrous hit that makes 170rwhp is just jetted that way so it appears to be a 'better' system than one that makes 125rwhp or 155rwhp on a 125 shot. Its marketing.

The reality check is that regardless of what the manufacturer says the shot size is, the shot size is in fact the shot size that it empties your bottle at. If it makes 170rwhp then its a 170 shot and empties you bottle at the rate of a 170 shot. Dry shots are notoriously slammed when they make only the shot size they are jetted for. The reason for this is that the jet is determined by formula with no marketing in mind and empties your bottle at that rate. If you get a 175 shot and get 3 full races (four gears) then you are emptying your bottle at the rate of a 175 shot. A true 125 jetted shot would empty your bottle at the rate of a 125 shot and makes about 125rwhp on a dyno. The exception to this is if the secondary function of nitrous (colling) has a disproportional effect such as in a supercharged application. I have seen a 40 shot produce over 100rwhp on a FI car in Colorado.

The harsh realities of nitrous wet shots become clear when your fuel solenoid fails or puddling of fuel in the intake manifold ignite and you call Scoggins for a new shortblock....but thats another debate.

Go to www.youtube.com and do a search for nitrous backfire. All are wet shots.

Well you could still keep the FAST if you went with heads other than the L92/LS3 castings.
A nice set of ported LS2 (243 castings) or TFS heads still use that intake.

and its injected through the manifold thats where the puddling occurs correct?

Yeah I'm curious as well, is that NX kit in the pic considered a dry kit or a wet kit?

Yeah so I looked a little closer at the MAF and it has solenoids and lines for fuel (red) and N20(blue) = wet kit as far as I can tell. I don't know enough about the kit or proper nitrous setup to know if you could just run this as a dry kit by not.

That's what I'd thought as well.

Its a wet kit and kind of pricey. Wet nozzles fit fine in the back of a MAF housing pointing toward the TB and cost 200 less.

Or you can get a dry shot and with some time to tune it properly, it will never have wet shot issues.

Most go with the 15 pound bottle and it does give you more time between fills/bottle swaps but if I were to ever spray I'd probably go with the 10 pounders (or even those little Dom Toretto style 1 pounders ) because I'm all about weight savings.
