Default Headers

I was thinking about getting a set of headers, but not sure what brand to go with. A few had said Kooks 1 3/4 ( NOT the 1 7/8 ) since I have the corsa sports. Now why is that, and what are some opinions you guys have ? Are there any other better brands out there ?

I'm totally lost. All advice is appericated.

Lastly I heard doing headers will void your warrenty...... But if you get them through Chevy and have it installed there things are ok and warrenty is still in force.

Anyone know about that one too.

I have the Kooks 1 7/8 on my 07 and have been very happy with them. As far as warranty issues are concerned, you will need to check with your local dealers. I would hate to pay dealer service rates for something that is pretty easy to install yourself. You will also need a tune to obtain the most performance you can get after swapping to headers

I went with Dynatech and had the dealer do the install. They didn't have any problem with the warranty but that will depend on your dealer if they are even willing to do the install.

Kooks 1 7/8's here with lots of N20 for them soon. Couldnt be happier with the power gain from them even N/A for now. Amazing.

You really cant go wrong with any of them since they are made so well. If you plan on N20/FI in the future I do advise 1 7/8 but if not LG's would probably get my vote since they will produce more tq under the curve.

ARH/Dynatechs/Kooks/LG's will all perform amazing.

For optimum peformance you'll want a long tube header. Stainless is the way to go if you don't want your headers to rust out on you, and coated headers will look great AND keep the under hood temps down quite a bit.

We have Kooks long tube stainless headers currently on sale with FREE shipping. We are also running a FREE header coating promotion. If you don't want your headers coated you can call us for even lower pricing that what's on our site. If you don't plan on doing any "heavy" modding (bigger motor, heads/cam, nitrous, or blower) then the 1 3/4" will be the best choice.

Let us know if we can be of any help to you!

Go with a 1 3/4 primary tube header, If your not really planning on internal modding (Bigger cubes) or forced induction. the larger primary tube headers will give you a better peak hp number..., but the 1 3/4 primarys will give you a better torque curve and an over all quicker car. My cars higher mph than most with like mods proves this. With kooks 1 3/4Lts, vararam, and DRs ran 96.6 (7.48)threw the 1/8. Also look at the fastest bolt on LS2, Dennis, is running a 1 3/4s setup on his 10.92 pass.

1 3/4 kooks headers from maryland speed. The guys were great and helped me get the right headers at a great price. The coating was free and they look great. It took me 3 hours with one other person and jack stands in my garage. They sound great and add a lot of power. A must have for any c6.

No header for the C6 is CARB approved. You will have a smog inspection in a few years and headers could be a problem. Moving or removing the Cats is a federal infraction.

I have Kooks headers on my car, but I think either Kooks or LG's would be a good choice.

Kooks makes a special hook-up for the Corsa Sports-#6155CC, so you dont need a Kooks X -Pipe, just use your Corsa X or H pipe. I got that and Kooks 6600EX 1 3/4" headers from Maryland Speed with free Jet Hot coating and shipping. Very happy with Maryland Speed and the Kooks. In fact, at low revs its not much louder than the Sports (though with louder off throttle gurgle) but at over 3500 rpm, it then sounds like a race car!

I agree with all the above except the 3 hour part. It took me that long just to jack the car and get the new headers out of the box. I did the install myself and took my time. The Kooks xpipe and cats required a pipe expander and some persuasion. Way more that 3 hours!

There are a few good brands but for my money they had to be LG Pro long tube headers (which I had coated). You may find cheaper headers but IMO you won't find better headers (LGM headers are cut by Borla).
