?????? huh? Chart posted at the top of this thread shows timing pull starts at 230 degrees..
What happens at say 215 degrees? Are the borderlines shown the actual borderlines within the computers parameters? So there will be no adjustment at all based on coolant till 230?
For most of us we don't have to worry about coolant temps pulling timing. It's the IAT that pulls all the timing. Mine goes way over 100* in the staging lanes. I've seen 135* with 80* ambient temps.
The stock table was designed for the guy/girl that puts in 87 octane on a 110* day in Las Vegas. GM has to design for worst case. If you always run 93 octane then the table can be modified considerably. I zeroed out my IAT table on my 98 Camaro and never logged KR. Of course that's a different engine and with slightly low compression ratio but shows that changing this table carefully will have no adverse affects to the engine.
