MTI Racing in Georgia or MTI in Houston?

The latter no longer does engineering work.

Feel free to give us a call, and we'll be happy to discuss your options with you. Our PRC ported LS7 cylinder heads flow just over 400 cfm, and we have engine dyno-tested our LS7 engines to know what works and what doesn't! We can build you a complete long-block to make 650 to 700 flywheel horsepower, depending on how aggressive you want to go! You can also send me a PM if you prefer.

...little harsh to post in an open forum since you never had a personal experience yourself. I would suggest you taking something like this to a PM or email conversation.

I dont know Texas Speed nor every spoke to them, but knowing they are a supported sponsor I would think this could be handled offline instead.

Good luck on your build either way. And another suggestion would be that you post what your expectations are and what you plan on doing with the car. All I saw was engine suggestions but no explanation as to what style driving etc.

If you didnt want them to reply, you should NOT have included them in your original post...

Although I dont think your reply was "Harsh" by any means. You should have left their name out of it if you didnt want anything to do with the company.

I for one have NEVR had an issue with TSP. Not to mention they are at the forefront of the performance development world with these motors..

If it wasnt for TSP, we would not be able to enjoy some of the AWESOME products they bring to the industry.

Customer service?? I spent 2 days, with each phone call exceeding 30 minutes with John, and never even bought from them. They never ONCE treated me unfairly... EVER..

That being said, I would choose SDPC (from your list) But......There are MANY machine shops that build motors for the same price. LME (the builder we use), HKE, LPE, etc etc...

Good luck on your quest.. But dont mark someone off of your list just because someone else had an issue. Cause I can guarantee you only heard 1 side of the story..

Who have you been speaking with? We have sent many engines overseas with excellent results, and we currently have multiple engines being built that will ship overseas. We share the same machine shop as SDPC, we literally sell hundreds of LS-based short- and long-blocks every year. Our quality, price, reputation, and first-hand experience simply cannot be beat. You have my personal guarantee. We have owned six C5 and C6 'vettes in the last three years for continual product development, and we currently own an '06 and '07 Z06 that run/will run all of our parts. We don't just sell the parts; we also run and test them!

I appreciate the kind words! We work hard to offer the best products and services available with the customer being #1. This is one of the many reasons that we love supporting the Corvetteforum community!

I've had experience with Texas Speed and unfortunately I had a problem with an engine. It was down on power and scoring a cly wall. Texas Speed handled the situation, took and listened to all my phone calls, and rebuilt the motor. It is now where it should be and holding together just fine. Its inevitable some bad juju will happen in this business, its how the juju is handled that makes the difference. When Jon and Trevor stepped up and took care of me, I vowed to make sure everybody knew it. They could have told me to pound sand and made my life difficult.
