my 08 a6 cats went bad and the dealer is blaming the problem on the mild and wild is it possible for the mild and wild to cause the problem or is the dealer just being a -------?
The dealer put a red flag on my vin# for this problem and no dealer will touch the car, is there anything i can do?

Don't know how - all it does is activate the butterfly and would have absolutely no impact on the cats what so ever. They are feeding you a line of BS.
used to be the only way cats went bad is if something went in the tank that was bad, like leaded gas. did you put any strange or old additives in the tank?
Your dealer is really stretching on that one. No way a M2W caused that to happen. BTW, How do you know your CATS are bad?? This is not a normal failure...I'd love to hear their diagnosis on this one...
Also, What is the "power Module" in your profile? Who did the tune? There's more than one way to kill a Cat..

Interesting... Approximately how many miles have you gone with the M2W in use? I've been using it on my '07 A6 with NPP added for probably 5,000 miles.
the cats are bad because my check engine ligth came up and the dealer said the code was for the cats. the power module hasnt been on the car sinse i got a tune from Charlie at rpm. the power module was for my hurricane intake but even that is no longer on the car. the car is completely stock now and has been for a wile

what does the bi-mode have to do with the cats? That would mean anyone that installed a muffler like bullets would have cat failure

for about 10k. this problem is unheard of with anybody else i think the dealer is just being a ----. Is there anything i can do for them to change the cats, cause the dealer put a red flag on my vin for this problem.

Your CAT's are not bad. YOu may have an error code that says they are, but this is most likely from your Tune. Go back to Charley and get this fixed. Unfotunately for you, your car is now tagged as would any that has had a tune and is taken into a Gestapo dealeship..They've been instructed to look out for Tunes and deny any warranty that may be the result. Again, Your CATS are not bad.

my tune was deleted before taking the car to the dealer!

I also see you have listed "Huriccane ram air intake, power module, tune" I can't see them even suggesting mild2wild but I can see them pointing this way Huriccane ram air intake, power module, tune

all of the after market parts were taken out before taking the car to the dealer! the car was stock when it gave me the problem.

PM me the dealers name and contact person I want to speak with them. I don't appreciate people blaming my product for any problems on their car (because 100% it does not cause cat failure) and I want to speak to the service manager.

Codes may have still been in the system They stick around until they're cleared. If you clear them now and the car is as you say, I doubt they'll return. The M2W has NOTHING to do with this..

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the computer have a memory that will show that the car was not always stock? Just changing it all back prior to the dealers visit isn't enough. They can detect that it was tuned at one time.
Ed ..... PLEASE keep us up with what went on between you and that dealer.
BTW, I agree that cats don't go bad very often unless on an older car. I also agree the Fed warranty guarantee should cover it.
