Not sure what the leak looks like but just a FYI when I first bought my 05 it appeared to have a leak at the diff (stain)
- turned out to be from overfilling (vent) from original factory fill apparently
I replaced the fluid (with amsoil, fix for common issue with chatter on tight turns) - verified proper level (appx even with fill plug) - 2K miles later no leak seen (I steam cleaned off the diff area when I did the fluid change - no sign of a leak still...)
It's not really a transaxle, it is two seperate units. The transmission is a seperate casting bolted to the differential housing and they each use a different lubricant.
One or the other (or both?) could be leaking. You or a Dealer will have to determine which is leaking and where it's leaking. My '05 had a differential leak at the rear cover, the Dealer replaced the gasket, it still leaked so they replaced the cover and the gasket, that cured the leak.

I had the same vent discharge after a trip in hot weather.
The vent is on top, drivers side and looks like a nickle.
