Drivetrain hesitation
First off I have a 2006 A6. Sometimes when I start from a stop the engine will start to rev up but the the car doesn't move, then all of the sudden it hits and the car starts to move. This is at slow speeds, light throttle. Just for a split second.
I also feel this when I am going down a hill and give it a little gas. It's like the transmission is catching up with the car before it starts to power the car forward.
It's gotten me to where I don't even want to press the accelerator too much until it has "caught up" because I don't like the "hit" when it feels like it catches.
I don't think this is Torque Management causing the issue due to the slow speeds that it occurs.
My wife has even noticed and she doesn't notice anything about engines or car things as she puts it.
Also, as a side note, does anyone else feel like the dealer tries to make you feel stupid if you bring your car in for anything other than a oil change? Maybe it's just me...
Thanks for your help!!!
