3-4mph is typically 25-30hp.

It would appear that your last dyno was victim of a variable. You stated there were different tires/rims. Other possibles/input from dyno owners are that how a dyno is maintained can also affect the reading. Where it is on the cleaning cycle...ect.

I was surprised at the dyno results but your 1/8 mile results had me thinking there was something wrong with the dyno reading. Its confirmed with your 1/4 mile trap speed.

A LS3 that dyno'ed 470rwhp traps 123mph on the west coast so everyone take a guess here.

I would be happy to hear about results from a different dyno shop but in the end its all about the performance and 4mph added to the trap speed tells the real story.

Welcome2try had some sick results with his and I never tuned his car above 5800rpm's because he was falling asleep while we were tuning from the bottom up in rpm. His resulting dyno was +12rwhp at peak but he was running 19 degrees timing over 5800rpm and running pig rich. He was killing Z06's and was cam only. I know what the manifold can do when its ported properly and since guys regularly get the 3-4mph results, its for real.

Thanks for the kind words Joe but the real happy day will be when you get the AFR heads. I also have a mod to the manifold and the combustion chamber that results in quite a jump. The FAST/AFR combo seems to gain disproportionately with my porting and when we speak next on the phone, I'll tell you why.

Thanks Guy! I'm saving my nickels for the AFR's (and a clutch lol). Will talk to you soon.

But I'm sold on the FAST. My car is just a lot faster now you can really feel it.

With some good weather I got .3 and 3 mph from the FAST. Can't complain about that.

Joe
I'm glad you made that 3 tenths increase after the SpinFast install
I'm sure the tires helped you get the extra power to the ground

Yes, the new tires I recently installed put me back, more or less, on par with the new tires I was using when I got my best pre-FAST time.

What doesn't show when doing an analysis based on one best run, is that my car is consistently a lot faster now. Before I rarely got an 11.5. It was more like an 11.7-8 car consistently. Now I run 11.4 all the time if I don't blow a shift.

If I get some time I need to go through my spreadsheet do some averages - kicking out bracket runs and runs where I spun badly or missed a shift. That sounds an awful lot like work though....
