Sounds like I have an exhaust leak. I tightened my header bolts and still hear the chirp/pop noise near the headers. I assume the next step would be to replace the gasket. Is this an easy think to accomplish or should I take to in to have a pro do it?

Thanks,

I just did mine last week... Called up the dealership, ordered two header gaskets for $15 each and replaced them with the car on the ground using a craftsman tool set. The bolts are 13mm all around and the last two bolts on each side against the firewall are much easier to remove if you get a racheting wrench. Make sure you use a torque wrench to re-tighten.
i have an exhaust leak too and they are annoying as hell..i got it after the z06 manifolds install..it isnt hard to do at all..like he said jus need a 13mm socket and start unbolting..lol..be sure to clean the head area real good to make sure you dont have any old gasket or anything on it..Good luck bud..
