Being there are separate brake circuits on modern cars it may not matter but I believe the service manual still specifies the sequence as:

RR
LF
LR
RF

My 2005 service manual page 5-53 spells it out.

Always is wheel farthest from the master cylinder first. Always the rear, then the opposite rear and then across to the opposite front and finish with the wheel closest to the master cylinder. This rule works on right hand drive vehicles also.

Not always true...brake circuits are not set up like they used to be on older cars.
The Right rear/Left front sequence is also correct for C5s.

Default diag set up?

Does anyone know if each part of the master controls diag corners of the cars brakes? My 1985 BMW was like this instead of front-rear set up.
