I think the computer will relearn the new mixture after a few miles of driving without disconnecting the battery. Mine did when I added a CAI.
However I'm planning to get a tune after this install anyway, since In addition to the CAI, I changed out the thermostat, and all three mods probably should be tuned for.

You can get a VMAX from mike norris motorsports forum vender I think around $150.00 send them yours and they send one back right away or pay a core charge and when they get yours they give the charge back right away, good addition to the rest of your mods!

Thanks for the tip. Mike Norris seems to have pleased many on this forum. I think that is the way I am going to go also.

The purpose of disconnecting the battery during the TB swap is to keep the PCM from seeing a difference in TB operation. A fresh start up ensures no problems.

Is a new MAF necessary or suggested with a ported TB and CAI?
If so, what MAF do you suggest?

'07 LS2 A6 (Headers/Xpipe/Tune coming soon)

Not all ported TB's are the same. Some cause codes to trigger. None of mine ever did.

I am a forum vendor unlike some others that got a mention in this thread.

My ported TB is fully ported just as well as any other plus I finish the outside of the unit as pictured here in either silver or black. I also polish the motor assembly for what is likely the best looking unit. It takes far more work for the cosmetic part and its included at no premium chanrge over the others.:

Its $149 shipped and only $100 when combined with a FAST intake prep.

Even if you go with another vendor please dont use a non supporting vendor such as mentioned in this thread.

For those saying the ported TB increased throttle response, this is not with a stock tune correct?

Porting the TB alone isn't going to give you much that you can feel. Adding it as part of complete air intake system (CAI, TB, ported intake) complements that system and should be good for 15-20 RWHP after a tune.

Ported TB makes your car feel like it's 500lbs lighter on part throttle.
