I've got some but I don't know if they would do you any good. There's a few things to look out for and the next time I pull one I will do a full photo-write-up. If you have any questions, PM me for my cell #. I can talk ya through it.
I removed mine from the top with all accessories still attached and the automatic flywheel still attached (which adds about 6" in length). This was without moving the radiator. If I did it again, I would remove the flywheel. Also, be sure you have a leveler, it sure makes things easier.
I was able to remove the engine from the top. It wasn't bad. Dropping the sub frame off the studs a couple of inches gave it room to clear the rack. Didn't have to disconnect brakes either. The engine should be going back in tomorrow.
Now I'm intimidated. I just wanted to pull the motor out and send the heads out to be ported and throw a cam in it, & upgrade the clutch. Pulling the driveline out from the bottom looks like a chore! Is there a book availible for C6's on w/ procedures, etc on some of this? I'm gonna feel so alone out there
there are several threads that show the engine removal from the top, I just removed my engine and installed a stroker from the top.
It is straight forward, remove headers, acc's, intake, bell housing and wires, support the
drive train and pull out.!!!!
Good Luck!!!!!
