Default Kooks X pipe Dilema

Quick question maybe you guys can answer. I have an 06 z06. I installed the Kooks headers today and then dry fitted the Catted 3 inch Xpipe and went to dry fit the Mid pipes and they are no were close to bolting to my stock exhaust. The X pipe with cats fits perfect no problems there but the mid pipes seem like they are for a different application. In fact the ends look like they go into a 2.5 inch muffler pipe where mines 3 inch. The part number is 6609S the one I see on Kooks website also lists 6611S as the correct one for my car.

ARE THE X PIPES THE SAME IN BOTH THESE KITS 6609s AND 6611s ? THEN I CAN ATLEAST INSTALL THE X PIPE AND JUST HAVE TO EXCHANGE THE MID PIPES. THANKS

sounds like you got the X-Pipe for a regular C6. No way that will work on a Z06

Well the catted X pipe itself from what I've been told now is the same in either kit 6609 or 6611 however the difference is in the in the mid pipes that connect the X pipe to the rear stock mufflers. That part I have is wrong. So all I need is new mid pipes. Well see tommorow. The X pipe fits perfectly and looking on Kooks website the actual X pipe looks identical on either kit, both 3 x 3.

Just like you Powerlabs, didnt you just sell headers and a catted X pipe of your Z51 just no mid pipes? You said on your post it would fit a Z06 as well. So basically same scenario as me atleast it seems. I just need the correct mid pipes to connect to the rear muffler pipes.
