Checked ebay tonight and and found a 10% off coupon waiting for me. That makes the price $215. Hard to resist.

It was in the myebay message folder. This is the third time I have got one of these personalized (only good for me)10% off on any purchase on ebay when using paypal. I used the first one at christmas time, the second one I missed until it was to late and this one is only good 'til 3/16. What bugs me is that I never receive an email notice about it.

I might also mention that I have done more research and am going to go with the AEM UEGO 30-4100 WB. With the 10% off it's only $180 and it has a 2 1/16" gauge that I can put in my A pod. It also has the ability to be installed in the factory bung and supply wide band info to the gauge and narrow band to the ECM. Also can be switch to lambda mode.

NGK AFX is the most accurate budget wideband available. Do some searching on the HPtuners forum as there was a test done using many widebands all hooked up at once and the AFX was the most accurate one.

I like the NGK, I think it will fit in the ash tray hole and I've had some real good reports.

I went to the HPT Gen 4 forum and found a test that was done on 10 widebands. Problem is, they only posted results for 6 of the 10. Supposed to post the rest later, but I couldn't find it.

FWIW, I had an Innovate installed and had nothing but problems with it. Never worked correctly. Wound up trashing it after 6 months of repair attempts, none of which could get it working correctly.

I have been using and installing widebands for over 10 years now. The Innovate is great for an experienced user, I personally don't care for it unless its being datalogged as its too twitchy for real time viewing.

I personally have FJO Widebands in all of my performance cars. They by far are best for real time viewing and making sure your tune is safe. The FJO also uses the NTK Sensor which is much more robust and its resistance to leaded fuels is unequaled. I have had the same sensor in my Supra now for 8 years (yes 8 years of daily driving and weekend C-16/Q-16 leaded race fuel). The FJO recalibrates itself every time the unit is powered up. Its also a 5 wire heated sensor that makes tuning cold start maps much easier, you have the option of turning the key to the on position and wait until the sensor is at operating temp before firing up a cold motor. That way you know the a/f ratio immediately after startup, with non heated sensors your usually out of the open loop startup map by the time they heat up.

I sell and install more AEM Widebands than all others combined due to its price. The Aem (Bosch) sensor will not last long with leaded fuel but with unleaded will give you a few years. The problem with the AEM is that the sensors are calibrated with a resistor when they are manufactured and just before they fail they can give false readings, fortunately they usually read too lean when they do start to fail.

The NGK is a great unit if you don't mind recalibrating it. I have found that the average person can easily screw up the free air calibration which can cause problems. I do like the display as it is large like the FJO and has a hundredths position which really helps gauge if the car is heading up or down on the A/F scale.

I have had wayyy too many bad experiences with the PLX device to even talk about them, I'll leave it at that.

The HKS Knock Amp is also a great unit that also incorporates a knock monitoring function that can be very helpful

I just tried an Autometer unit in a customers car for the first time last week, I liked it, the display is very bright and blue if you like that sort of thing, it functions very similar to the AEM.

I also read the ridiculous comparison that Mustang Mag published using a consistent oxygen content gas to test accuracy. The results of a test like that are useless.
