Yes do a search! Problem is a slip joint collector. Kook's, ARH use a compression type
that can't fail.

my only gripe with the lgs is removal, slip connectors are a galactic pitas to take apart and reinstall

I have went as far as replacing the clamps to keep the X-pipe to the header collector, still did not work!! as far as the leaks they are in the tubes and the welds around the collector,

One option is to have your exhaust shop spot weld the pipe joints with a Mig welder in addition to the clamps. As for leaks, the Mig can also be used to seal, but it's permanent! You may not want that.Slip type clamps don't always do a good job but they supposedly(Please correct me if I'm wrong) make it easier to disconnect/remove the pipes because they don't crimp the metal like the compression type or commonly known as U-clamps.Also,because the slip type don't crimp the pipe, they don't distort pipe ID,ensuring maximum exhaust flow with minimum restriction or back pressure. It's a compromise in the name of performance, also,APITA!

Sorry for the long winded response,I worked exhaust for a few years.

Regards,

JR

I can understand at the collector due to the poor design , but have people experienced cracks in the tubes also, and what would the "PROPER FIX" be
