Default Door Sill Replacement

I was thinking about buying the "Brushed Aluminum Door Sill Plates" for my 2009 C6. The current ones are all scratched up...

Can anyone give a push in the right direction on how to remove the old ones?

Use a hair dryer to warm it up, then it will peel right off.

Just an adhesice holds it on, an residue can be removed with WD 40 or rubbing alcohol.
