He does have a Z06. I do not know him yet since I have only been a customer their for 3 weeks. Again he does own a C6 Z06 and is the service manager who takes care of all the vette customers. I understand that dealerships are ALWAYS against modifying our cars so I am not sure where he is coming from.

I don't think of this really as a mod, more of as a "trim adjustment". After all, I changed no GM pieces, I merely made an adjustment to a factory piece using the intent of the pieces as designed.

I will be happy to post my findings. Honestly, to really check it out, I will need to push the car a bit first. During the week, I will take her out once or twice going to/from work. I won't be able to push her hard during the week due to my route, but I will be able to evaluate basic ride quality. This coming weekend, the MCRTA (Michigan Corvette Road Tour Association) is holding a road tour from Saint Clair to Frankenmuth for lunch and to sight-see at the World Beer Expo. During my return trip, I will try to open her up and push the car laterally (without any beer involved) and will be happy to report-out after the end of next weekend.

A word about your dealer's comments. I did make a weight-jack type of change. However the changes were pretty neutral in that I did not cut or trim anything. What is not "neutral" is that I dropped the front more than the rear. In effect, I lowered the vehicle relative to the suspension. I'm not a mechanic so take what I am about to say with a grain of salt. With the change, the only thing I did was drop the car, and from what I can see is that there is less space between the spring and the suspension. I am expecting that with the lower CG the car will handle better. I also suspect that the springs will "kick in" sooner and I'm not sure whether this will help the handling or hurt it. I need to test this in some situations where I am pushing the lateral g's enough to find out. Also, I don't know how the car will respond to bumps while cornering, as I suspect this may have changed a bit also. I won't be at Mid-Ohio with the Vette (on track) until probably June, but I will try to push her a bit next weekend and report out.

I lowered mine all the way on the factory bolts and love the way it looks. The ride is the same. I also trimmed my front air dam with a razor the same amount I lowered the car so it still has the same distance from the road. It will sometimes barely scrape if I am going on an extreme incline and can't get a tight angle on the entrance because of traffic. This usually happens when making a left into an entrance. Now I usually just go down a little further make a U turn and take a right into it.
