Well I didn't fix it as LG motorsports says I should not have a lot of popping so I am following some inspections procedures that they gave me. The metal tape does not seem to brake down under the high exhaust temps, except towards the rear. I just put a 1000 miles on the car last week and over 200 was on Infinion Raceway and I think I burned off the adhesive on most of the tape as the popping seems to be worse that before I went to the track. I will not be able to check the exhaust system until it stops raining here as my hoist is outside. I will not weld the seams as I don't want to deal with cutting things up if I ever need to remove the exhaust system.
Sorry to hear that Andy. I have ALOT of popping but I have bullets on my car. I didnt get much with the Z06 mufflers. I dont want to publicly bash said company so I will PM you.
Andy, I do a lot of tuning on Corvettes up here in the Portland area. Your gains that you posted are pretty much atypical of a bolt one modded LS2. Most will come in around 380 with headers, CAI and a CAT back. Your popping is also atypical of your exhaust mods with headers, no CATs and Corsas. I have a stock LS3 C6 that I bolted on a set of ARH headers, CATs and a set of Corsas out back, this system was unique in that it is a full three inch system using a set of Corsas made for the Z06, it also pops on decel at times. My personal Z06, heavily cammed, LPE ported heads, CAI, ported intake and TB also pops on decel, especially after a WOT run.
