This would be a good solid starting point. You'd have to get past the fact that you'll be running headers manufactured in "***** Khu, China" or somewhere like that. Feedback on the forum has indicated that the build quality is "pretty good" on these pirated copies of U.S. designed headers.
Way better off going to forum C-6 parts and buy some quaility used
AR's or Kook's headers. 160 stat is nice. Install everything yourself!

If you could find used Kook's at a bargain price I would agree. Kooks seem to hold their value pretty well though from what I've seen in the C6 For Sale forum which translates into less $$$ to spend elsewhere.

Very good question I also have an 05 (A4) and was thinking of a small converter (2800- 3200) I already have a Vararam, and Tune, I'm also using MT Drag Radials and have run 12.08 @ 115 MPH

The only thing keeping me from a converter is the rear is ?? (I have 3.15 gears stock) but I would need a Trans cooler also.. as for headers I'm on the fence, as I had headers on my 96 and muffler eliminators, and the "DRONE" was unbearable..

I also have ridden in C6 with aftermarket exhaust systems & they also were too loud if I'm taking a long trip (3 hr or more)

Sure loud exhaust sounds nice and is fun if your only going to the car show a 20 min ride... but if you plan on going several hundred miles with the wife, the drone can be a PIA..

I WILL NOT go to any after market exhaust, but might just go with headers, & my stock mufflers... & a 2800 converter and hope I don't need a trans cooler also...

I'm guessing if I go with a 3200 converter "ONLY" I should be a high 11 sec car in "Good Air"

I had a cooler on my 96 with the 3600 converter, & NEVER had a problem with the trans temp!! I think if i do go with the converter I WILL go with the cooler at the same time.. ...better safe than sorry!
