Default T/B Spacer

I have a slightly modded 05 (LS-2) has x-pipe, P/P TB, and magnaflow mufflers. I recently put a 1" T/B spacer on and I can feel a slight low to mid rpm increase in responsiveness or is this purely psychological? I was told you couldn't feel something that minor.

Being that you probably paid 60 bucks for that thing(as did I) you will squeeze your brain for some mental HP! Whats even funnier is that you could even pin point the rpm range that you got the "increase".

I got made fun of for a similar post. Just passing the fun

no, it really does work! I just did'nt like the way the vari-ram piece of rubber fit, but air-raid does make a nice billit piece I'm just trying to find the room for it, I don't like how you have too squeeze every thing together to make it fit, BTW it works by increasing the volume of the manifold after the TB

If your having trouble fitting it, you may want to change the stock accordian piece. I saw that breathless performance has a piece that does that.

I had one instaled on my 05 Z51 back in 05 at LAPD performence .
They did a dyno run on the car , it picked up 5hp . You can not feel
5hp . So its in your mind .

This is good information. At least your dyno session indicated an increase. Now, somebody will complain about measurement error.

The Indycar Series added a 10 peak HP "push to overtake" capability in the cars a few weeks ago. Every driver interviewed said that he or she could feel it. That's 10 HP out of 650. Of course, they are professionals and have better feel for such things than most of us.

However, the OP is "only" claiming to feel 5 out of the amount on tap in a Vette at low to mid RPM's. That may be 5 out of 250-350, if the gains are linear. I am reasonably sure that I felt an improvement in low speed throttle response after having a Calloway Honker installed. This was pre-heads and cam. The HP increase from the Honker could not have been much at low RPM's. Maybe some non-racers can feel this.
