Default Carbotech pads

I just installed a set of XP8 and XP10 pads on my car for track use, I have been using another brand of high performance track pads on track only, changing out to Delco Ceramic for the street. The Carbotech pads are in a word AWESOME, I installed them dry, no anti-squeal figuring I will as always pull them out after the track use, the carbotech pads performed beyond my expectations, along with not a drop of squeal, although they are of course dusting more than the ceramics, since my street use is rather light I think I might just leave them in until the next Hooked on Driving track event next month. Again, the XP10 and 8 are just a great set of pads!

I am running a similar combo to you: XP8 and AX6.
The performance is incredible; the second you touch the brakes it grabs with authority and stops the car FAST.

The only thing that is more incredible than their performance, is how much noise they make. I used caliper lube and anti seize everywhere where it is needed, and they were kind of quiet for about 4000 miles, but now the noise is unbelievable; I seriously have to roll my windows up if I'm driving next to a wall.

I'll probably have to pull them out before I don't enjoy driving the car any more

I expected the same thing , and planed to pull them out right away, drove the car last night and still no noise. I do not know if this is just a fluke, as I say I put them in dry, Maybe once I drive on the street a little more the good coating on the rotors will start to come off due to the friction of the compound and the easy use of the brakes, I will have to see. But I am going to leave them in for now and experiment a little.

I'm doing the same. XP10/XP8 for track, AC Delco ceramics for street. With my stock Z51 drilled rotors, my car sounded like a dump truck when coming to a stop (had a cashier at a toll booth tell me to get my brakes checked on my way up to Thunderhill once lol). With my DBA4000 slotted rotors, the noise is just a slight high pitched squeak, nothing to really complain about. The pads have great stopping power and great modulation. Just got myself another set for a day at Infineon.

4000 miles, I missed that! Keep in mind I just came off the track, super bedding on pads to rotors, I would guess with all street use you are not
at all bedded, go out and bed them, you might find they will get quiet
again, with 4000 miles I bet the grease is all but gone, I have melted it off the pad backing plates in one day of hard track use! If I was on the street all the time I would use nothing but ceramic, they are the best product for street.

Well, now after driving with the xp 8 and 10's on the street for a few miles they are now starting to make noise, which is expected, the abrasive property of the compound is now wearing off the rotor coating with such easy use, I am sure that if I went out and used the brakes hard they would stop squealing for the most part, maybe I will do just that! Still they are the most quiet race compound I have ever used, and will leave them in for a while, next track day the middle of next month.
