Ive made friends with my Tech at a local dealership, he is going to hook me up and install a new Z bumper cover for me. It should take no less than 1 hr and no more than 2 hrs to install. I think the going labor rate is $70.
So, my question is... if he's hooking me up how much should I show him my appreciation so we both benefit?
I would ask him how much he wants. If he says nothing then I would probably give him $50 otherwise pay what he thinks is right since he is doing the work.

Good answer. You must have a lot of people who want to do work for you again in the future.

However if he quotes you a price that is still a steal and does a good job, slip him an extra $20 as a bonus. He will continue to give you good deals since he knows you'll tip him. Same as a good waiter/waitress, they DO remember.

Whether you have one worker or a thousand employee's treat them right!
