low oil presure
i have an 05 everything is good until u accelerate. it idles at 39psi,and cruises at 42 psi. At the top of 2nd gear it falls to nothing and the the low oil pres. light comes on. it acts like the oil is running away from the screen.
any ideas?

While I think it would be rare for a new car, the pickup tube could have a crack in it and it's moving under acceleration.
Anyone been inside the engine recently?
Before going real far I would confirm this with a mechanical gage first to see if it is not just a bad sensor.
