I am installing spins 230/234, 612/598 cam next week and i wanna make sure i get the right pushrods..Do i need to stay with the stock 7.400 or what? Thanks..
I have done many searches on this subject and the most common answer that I heard is that you really should measure for new pushrods using a pushrod length checker. I got a lot of responses saying that "x" length pushrod "should" work, but I decided to spend the $12 on a length checker and measure myself for peace of mind.
Make sure you get the correct range "checking" pushrod for your application. The folks at Comp Cams should be able to tell you which one to get, I always go to them and they haven't missed yet. If you don't understand the info in the link above, I'm sure somebody at Comp Cams will help you but it's really not that difficult once you get into it.
