Hi guys, I removed my Throttle Body to test in on a friend's car. The Throttle Body was then re-installed and everything was fine. I drove the car for about 25 miles on the freeway, stopped in a shopping center to pick up something and was only gone for about 5 minutes. When I started the car I found that the check engine light came on and stayed on. Now the check engine light is on all the time. Any ideas on what is wrong? Was it just a fluke or did something happen during the removal and reinstall of the throttle body? I would appreciate any help.
The check engine light could be one of a hunderd issues. You can go to AUTOZONE and they will read the DTCs for free. Get the DTCs read and post what you have.
Your best bet is to purchase your own advanced DTC reader. It must be CAN Buss compliant to be able to read DTCs on your C6. I purchased an ACTRON CP 9180 from Amazon.com for $130. Very good scanner. It reads a lot of stuff including data logging sensors in real time.

I would make sure there is no air getting in anywhere behind the MAF. Good luck!
