Does anyone know how long the C6 TPS should last? I have a chance to get a set from a 2007 for my extra rims/tires and are concerned that I may have to go through another dismount and balance if they "die" soon?
Any opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

The C6 tire pressure sensors have a design life of 10 years, so go ahead and use them.
I assume you'll be using them on a 2005-2009 C6 - is that right?
The 2005-2009 model years use GM Part# 25758220.
The 2010 C6 uses a different sensor, and they aren't compatible with the TPMS computer in the 2005-2009 cars, and those 2007 sensors won't work if you have a 2010.
If you have a couple sets of wheels/tires/sensors then you'll need to program the sensors into the TPMS every time you swap wheels.
The TPMS computer in the car can only hold 4 sensor ID#s in its memory, so you'll need a tool to do the relearn procedure each time you swap from one set of wheels/sensors to another.
BEZ06 is truly the resident expert on the subject. One thing I'll add is when you mount a tire on a rim, it's often a good idea to change the seals on the TPS's. I believe places like Discount Tire charge $5 or $6 for the TPS 'rebuild' kit...it's worthwhile preventative maintenance.
