I am using a new crate LS376/480 in my GTM and need a little help. The car starts right up and idles fine. There is a slight hesitation when pressing the accelerator and if I rev it to about 3000rpm and let off, it will die. I have a OBDII code reader but when I connect it, it tells me there is a link error. As far as I can tell, everything is connected. The engine came with the pedal and ECU so it should all be compatable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Wish I could help you Mike but I dont know. Im sure someone here can give you some tips.
I am curious your engine choice though. Saw it in the GM catalog and thought they looked like a good option. Can you give us some thoughts on it after you get it up and running strong? Thanks. Good luck sorting it out.
Designed by Factory Five Racing using a C5 as a donor. Donor parts include upper and lower control arms, brakes, fuel tanks, steering column, radiator and fans, window regulators and motors, mirrors and door handles, wiper motor, a/c compressor and some other small stuff. It's mid-engine using a Porsche transaxle. It is almost 6 inches shorter than a Vette and weighs 2400 lbs.
Where is the MAF sensor mounted? I am willing to bet that the reason you are having an issue is because the design of that air intake system is causing a MAF signal disturbance at that RPM. Any flow measurement device needs X amount of down and up stream straight run to provide a decent laminar flow to the device.

I have it located like the instructions say but I will move it too see if that changes anything. BTW, the MAF sensor is in the driver's side of the intake and the passenger side is blocked off at the Y pipe.

Thanks for the suggestion!!
Ahh, ok if you are only running one side, then that should work fine, as long as you have good straight run after and before the sensor.
