Default LS3 418cid stroker?

i have an 07 C6 M6 and i am ordering an LS3 418 cid stroker shortblock from Texas Speed this week to compliment my 1 7/8 kooks longtubes,3" kooks off road x pipe,z06 exhaust (with muffler mod ,and vararam cai...im going with stage 3 L92 heads to keep compression at 11:1..i'll go with a mild cam as well..im not sure what to expect but i am hoping for some serious power n/a..does anybody on here have a similar setup and how much should i gain?im around 400 rwhp with my LS2 now...any help would be appreciated..thanks,chris

The pieces are there for an easy 525+. Just going to depend on how "mild" the cam is.

I would say you are going to be well into the 500 HP range being the car is a M6. That kind of HP should be doable while keeping the car very driveable. We've done several 402 c.i. motors w/ some fairly aggressive cams going 525 to the ground. W/ some more cubes, we should be able to get that kind of HP while going w/ a little smaller cam to keep it pretty driveable.

oh yea he will be... i was running a 416(418 depending on who you talk too i guess haha) in my GTO which netted 515rwhp and 490rwtq

were putting the same engine in my vette now (its being freshened at the machine shop) i will lety ou know how it goes. this was extremely driveable even in my big heavy gto... so in a vette it should be an utter joke.

I think the difference between 416 & 418 is the piston size.

It seems there are OS pistons that require honing to fit, I believe that then is the 418.

That aside very nice torque!
