Anybody got an idea how to fix a cooling fan that doesn't come on? The fluids are up and as long as I drive 60 mph the car furns about 185-195. At 40 I have to turn on the heater (not fun when it's 95 degrees) or it wants to over heat. Thanks!
I love this forum. I just saved a bunch of money at GIECO....
The 3 prong connector was fried just like the photo above.. dealer said they are aware of the problem, yet have no solution..
q. since it draws 25 amps why have a 60 amp fuse? could we run a 30-or 40 amp fuse to protect the rest of the system and the surge when it starts.
From: Greater Detroit Metro MI, when I'm not travelling.

Changing the size of the fuse won't magically make the plug not melt. At best you will blow the fuse the first time your fan comes on and the car will overheat.
Usually the plug melts because the car was tuned to make the fans come on faster at a lower temperature. You don't see a lot of bone stock ones with issues.
The only solution I am aware of for a tuned car is soldering the wires on.
