cruise control
lost cruise on my 07 for the 2nd time. first time was fixed by dealer. mech said there was a stuck solenoid and he sprayed w-d40 on it and it fixed the problem. he didn't tell me what solenoid or where it was located. i am hoping one of the techs here might shed some light on this and let me know. i have not tried the batt disconnect yet as i assume this is the same prob i had the first time. my 07 is now out of warranty as of april so any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks

Your STEALERSHIPS mechanic LIED or was an IDIOT! There are ZERO solenoids!!!!!!
So,,,,, that said,, your cruise control system consist of the TAC Module, ECU, Brake Switch, EBTCM and the multifunction switch stalk switch and wiring harnesses.
Most of the time theres an issue, it has to do with the brake switch on the brake peddle bracket. Make sure that its properly adjusted. Pull UP on the brake peddle with your foot and see if you can operate the system. If so, that switch needs to be adjusted or replaced.
IF you have an active handling issue or Traction Control issue, it will disable the cruise as a default.
Make sure your NOT having TC or AH messages or issues.
Do you have any DTCs?????

Same thing happened to me three weeks ago. There are two fuses that control the cruise control. I r & rd's them, they were ok, now the cruise works, give it a try.
