What's the difference between turning off the traction control and leaving the active handling on...and selecting "competitive driving mode" which turns the traction control off but leaves the active handling on? Seems redundent to me, am I missing something?
OK...I think I got it. Had to read the link a few times, but it finally sunk in. I guess you really can teach an old dog new tricks! Mucho Grasias for the help!

Ok. I read the link posted by Rick T yesterday and think I understand the different modes a bit better. I take a test drive today with my 2008 A6 in competive mode. I drop it down in first and nail it. THERE'S THAT HIDDEN POWER OFF OF THE LINE. I guess the traction control and active handling have been holding it back? What a wild ride. This car is more fun than I anticipated. So I shift through the gears via the steering wheel controls (which could be a tad faster) with the throttle down. Some *** end twists and tire chirps later and I'm in heaven.
