Dead Battery
Ok I saw questions about dead battery and how to open doors. That much I knew. My question is once you open the door until your battery is charged or replaced do you just leave the door open because it won't close. Thank goodness my car was in the garage, but what if I was out some where and had to leave the car. Is there some way to close the door back while battery is dead?

YES! The same way that you close the door when the window glass gets ICE on it and will not roll down. You pull the door open and the window will POP out of the seal and when you shut the door, carefully push the door shut until the glass meets the window seal and push the TOP of the glass so that it tucks into the seal and then shut the door.
It works as I have done it numerous times.

yes, but you do have to be careful about it. don't slam it with a Force10 shot. try to wedge it in the channel. if that doesn't work, go a little stronger. if struck just so, the glass may break so just do it easily. same thing when opening the door and the windows don't index down.

Thanks again guys. I try to find things in the handbook before I ask and I couldn't find this information any where even called GM and they didn't have a clue. I really appreciate your help.
