Any problem with hooking my battery tender directly to the terminals? The owners manual on my C6 Grand Sport shows the pos. terminal and a connection on the frame for the neg. used for jumping the battery. It's been siting for two weeks just want to keep the charge up. It was easer to hook straight to the battery on both terminals. I guess its a dumb question but better safe then sorry. THANKS Dave
Either way is OK. The "standard" says to make the negative connection at a ground, so that if there is a spark and the battery is releasing hydrogen gas there won't be a fire. But as long as the battery is in normal condition there should be no problem using the terminal. That's what I do.

Correct. You will often get a small spark when connecting the second wire to the battery so its a good practice to put the negative connection away from the battery. I experienced a battery hydrogen gas explosion and it was spectacular.
