Default LS2 throttle body blade gap.

I recently picked up a ported throttle body to use on an upcoming fast 90 install on a C5. Wondering if a bit of a gap is normal. It has a sharpened edge on what I assume is the stock silver blade. There is a bit of a gap all the way around. I would think either some is normal or the computer opens it slightly since the is no idle air bypass. Thank you.

It's normal. It's addressed in this thread (with pics).

The ECU will cause the TB to adjust to the proper gap when the ignition is turned ON. When the ignition is OFF, the TB blade will flop around and have a weird opening. As long as you can manually press it FULLY Closed and NOT see much clearance around the blade,,, your all set. The ECU will take over from there,,,
