anyone had one of these done? What kind of results/outcome came of it? where you happy with results or should I go and put the car on the dyno (much more expensive)? Not really looking for hp bragging numbers at this point....just want car to perform well with current mods installed.

An in person tune by a reputable tuner is generally always the best bet, but for a much more economical route, yielding close to the same results, our $149 mail order tune special for six speeds. The A6 is a little more complicated, but we still offer the most reasonable route at $495 for a hand held programmer.
Check out our tune threads in both the C5 and C6 scan and tune sections.

Thanks!
In nut shell, six speeds send in PCM and it's $149 with return shipping within the US, shipped back out the same day received. A6's Are $495 which includes the ECM & the TCM tunes and the hand held to down load the TCM file.
I hope that easily explains it, if not, feel free to give us a call.

what kind of hp/tq numbers could i see with this set up?
Folks at ECS do great work! I had a mail order tune done by ECS on my previous car, 2000 FRC, after adding intake and long tubes. Extremely pleased with the results. Took off the ECM and mailed it to them.
Try Chuck Cow. He does fantastic work and he does it right. He has tuned my car twice. (after mods)
He tuned my '05 MN6 and it was a totally different car......loved it! I simply sent him my PCM and he did his magic, sent it back and I re-installed. Very easily done....30 min job on the 'puter part. Another 30 min on a 160 degree 'stat.....which is required.

We generally see 10-15rwhp, although the biggest gains are in what is no longer being held back over what is gained. Along with the other monetary changes like fan settings, AC settings, skip shift, etc etc.
And with our pricing, well I feel it's a "no brainer".

Agreed.
When I yank my PCM in a few days/weeks to send it to you, I'll even post a few pics how easily it's done-

Hey there. Your best bet is in the link below. Besides being able to deliver a tune via e-mail WITHOUT having to remove or ship your PCM,
We can datalog your car after the tune is installed to be sure it's running correctly.
Most mods in the future will only require a follow up tune via e-mail.
With the tool you can go back to stock any time you like and you can also use it to
check and clear codes, reset your oil life after oil changes, check emissions readiness tests among other things....
It's a great tool for delivering and maintaining mail order tunes, diagnostics, etc.
Chuck is it true that you lock your tunes so the car can only be tuned by your shop after the initial tune? Just what I heard...Thanks
Nope....Of the Thousands of tunes out there, only a small handful of special circumstances might exist...Usually, the customer
requested it to prevent the dealer from "updating" their pcm and ruining their tune.
