I've had both. Originally when I had my blower installed 3 months after new with the offroad x-pipe and Sport there was significant drone. After 2 years I tired of the offroad x-pipe odor and replaced them with KOOKS high flow mid section. The sound was way to tame so I switched to Xtreme. The sound was back but so was the drone. It's something I'm willing to deal with and just try to avoid the 16-1700 RPM range as much as possible. With the auto/blower/headers and high flow cats drone "could" be substantial.
Thanks, I think I am convinced on going the Corsa Sport route! I appreciate all the comments, also the tranny is tuned, ECS tuned everything when they installed the S/C, headers and meth. Thanks again everyone for the help, I will post back once I get them on, it may be awhile as it's winter here, and I won't take it out until there is no salt on the roads.
Yeah, me too....Corsa Sports will be it for me as well. Probably here in about two or three weeks, I'll order from whomever has the best price. Anyone here with suggestions on price, please let me know and willing to bet the OP wants the same info.
I read up on a lot of threads I searched, watched youtube clips, listened to clips off the Corsa site but still had a few questions.
For those of you that owned Corsa Sport, or Xtreme or possibly anyone that has had both I had a few questions.
At first I was really leaning toward the Corsa Sport, but after watching youtube video clips I am now leaning toward the Xtreme, but unfortunately in videos you really can't get a great feel on how loud the systems really are.
I have LG longtube headers with cats, Novi 1500 S/C, the car is a 2006 A6 so that's another thing, in the videos on some you can't tell whether it's an A6 or M6. I wanted to know if the Xtreme is truly "too" loud. I want my system loud, but not annoyingly loud, or so loud when I start it up I will wake all of my neighbors up. I don't start my car up that late, or early but I do come home late some nights when cruising around so I don't want it to be too loud coming home where I wake all of my neighbors. In an A6 how is the drone on the sport, xtreme?
More or less any feedback would be great, I want the car loud at idle, decently loud when driving around but not really loud when cruising with a ton of drone, some is fine but not a lot. On an A6 does anyone know if either of them gurgle or pop when downshifting?
Thanks, sorry for the cluttered questions
C6 2006 Z51, A6,FAST 90MM, KOOKS HEADERS,CORSA SPORT-ZERO DRONE, SOUND ON 3500 RPM, WOW VERY NICE
The other thing to consider is if you are planning on a stall in the future. I have kooks LT's and the sports and love the sound. After I put in a stall when city driving the exhaust sounds almost twice as loud because the converter is sliping causing higher revs until it locks at about 50 mph. I would not want it any louder with extremes with a stalled automatic.
OP~ You need a duo mode system. Stock with straight dumps or B & B Fusions.
I actually really wanted the B&B Fusions but the cost is what turned me off, I gain no HP with my set up (ECS SC600 with Meth + Longtube headers) and the car is already detuned with another 100RWHP left on the table, detuned for the stock A6 transmission. I just can't justify the cost on strictly a sound modification as I am saving money for CCW wheels and widebooty mod, and eventually a bigger braking system is in the future as well. I will be ordering drag radials soon as well.

I really look forward to the install.

I have the sports bc the xtremes have drone that I can hear. I don't care who says there is no drone there is some. It is a small amount but I do hear it. I am also planning on headers so that will make it louder also so I went with the sports. Extremes with headers would be almost too lound in my fopinion. I like to be able to talk in the car and I like taking it on trips so I didn't want it so loud it would get on my nerves during roadtrips.
I've got extreme 4" on my 2010 and there is a slight drone. I just ordered Corsa xpipe which they told me would reduce drone and popping...we will see but based on what I am reading here sounds like it won't.
It IS NOT too loud, I actually hoped it would be louder. I sure hope the x pipe takes out the drone...any good news for me out there?

I have the Corsa Sport with the X pipe on a 2005 LS2. I really do not notice a drone and it is loud enough and can be very loud if you jump on the gas pedal.
