Default dual note exhaust

I have an 07 Z51 LT3 and was wondering how I would go about adding the dual note exhaust on this car. I looked at an 07 Z06 yesterday and it had the dual note. Can the factory dual note be installed on my 07 coupe and would it affect the engine tune? If so anybody got one?

You mean "dual-mode" or "bi-modal" exhaust. Yes you can install the exhaust on your 2007 with an NPP or other controller. You'll need to run the vacuum tubing back to the rear of the car and purchase Z06 or NPP mufflers. You don't have to do anything to the tune as catbacks make little if any power.

Yes, it's done all the time. You need the mufflers and one of the after market kits, commonly referred to as "NPP in a box". You can use Z06 mufflers which have a lower, more mellow sound and are cheaper when bought used, or the NPP mufflers which are more raw sounding and more expensive.

Here are some threads to look at:

Thanks for the information do you know where I can begin looking for a set of used z06 mufflers. What is NNP? I am a new owner (4) months and am not on top of these changes. How can I find additional informaiton on this site about this mod?

Z06 mufflers are much cheaper and if you do the "muffler mod" (do a search) they are even better sounding than the NPP IMHO.

NPP is just the GM option code for the dual mode exhaust used on non-Z06 Corvettes. It doesn't mean or stand for anything, just a random GM code. And it is NOT the same as Z06 dual mode exhaust, you don't refer to "Z06 NPP", it doesn't exist. So, NPP came on regular Vettes, Z06 dual mode came on Z06's.

i have a set of the NPP mufflers for sale. It is easiest if you pair them with the mild to wild controller, you can turn them on or off with a wireless controller and the vacuum tubing is a short run. easiest way in my opinion.

My mufflers have less than 500 miles on them and the tips are in perfect condition, I am asking $750 plus shipping
