Dented Oxygen Sensor
I was pulling my O2 sensor from my intake manifold, which I am sure those of you with headers will agree is a chore, and I put a couple small dents in the upper part of my sensor. It is the area above the hex and I am wondering if this is just a shield for the wiring or if some critical components are housed in here (note the bottom part that goes in the pipe and the wires are fine). Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm sure a small dent wont hurt anything BUT,, the only way to be sure is to monitor the PCM and see if the O2 Sensor outputs are cycling HIGH & LOW when the engine is idling in closed loop.
You did mean EXHAUST MANIFOLDS Correct???
