I,m looking at stoptech big brake kit for my C6 Z51 I race at VIR and other spots. Do I need the 6 piston or would the 4 piston be enough brake? I,m just doing the front brakes.

The 6-piston will allow for thicker pads for really long sessions. The 6-piston won't stop any faster than the 4-piston. Back to back testing you couldn't tell the difference. That's exactly what Stoptech told me. I have Stoptech 4-piston calipers front and rear.
I think the StopTechs are better that Wilwoods, but they would not fit my wheels, so bought Wilwoods. To be honest, I have had no issues with the Wilwoods and have been very happy with them.
Have a look at the "New Hardbar/AP T1 brake kit" post by ghoffman on the autocrossing & roadracing section. It is a long post but has changed my mind in what to do regarding brakes.

i read in a review of the callaway vette that the brakes suffered from a lot of knockback. a floating rotor would help that situation, so you might want to keep that in mind. LG's brake kit looked like it was pretty well engineered..im not sure if the stoptech brake kit suffers from this thou. just throwing it out there.

Stoptech uses floating rotors. I've never experienced any knockback.
