I just upgraded from a 40th anniversary C4 to a 2011 Grand Sport, so now I'm a "C6" newbie. I have two quick questions.
(1) Should the engine shudder when I'm stopped at a light? My LT1 didn't do that, but I'm not that familiar with the LS3 yet.
(2) Are there wheel locks on the 2011 GS? I can't find any mention of them in the owners manual, and I can't find a wheel lock key. I haven't gotten the FSM for the GS yet.
Thanks,
Larry...
PS. The 2011 GS is awesome. It will be great if I survive the first two months.
an engine shudder, to me, is different from a rough idle. maybe it's just definition difference, but a shudder sounds more like it's trying to almost die out vs. a rough idle.
as to putting wheel locks on cars, yes, some dealers do it. but in today's economy, as a giveaway, I doubt it's being done all that frequently even tho it's relatively inexpensive.
I used to have 2010 camaro ls3 engine and it would idle a tad rough. But it was nothing serious. Felt like a big cam idle if there is such a thing considering I never had a big cam.
My 2011 LS3 with 300 miles on it has a little tiny bit of a lope that you can feel at idle. Nothing that I would describe as a shudder though. Cool feel! Reminds me there's a bit motor just ahead of me!
