My 07 caught fire from back passenger panel totaled the fuel tank was r&red for sensor??2weeks ago any input please

I don't know if it's just me or maybe i'm just too tired. All I understood from that was that your car caught fire. Are you asking if the sensor caused the problem?

Fires, not deliberately started, on cars generally are caused by fuel leak or electrical short. I would be very suspicious of the recent work done. Was fuel involved in the fire - did car explode - or did you just have burned wire and fiberglass?

The OP doesn't sound clear on this...did the fire start outside and related to the tank and repair or did it start inside? If it was outside and related to the tank, I'll have to think it was a fuel leak onto the exhaust. Regardless of what started it, its probably toast now and his insurance company will take care of it.

Seems like there was R&R work on the fuel tank and because of that, the car caught fire.
