Could you guys post pics of the tool you used?

What did you use to reach the back? I was thinking id have to weld a sleeved extension on to one of mine.

Thanks

Same here no more noise without it. Only thing is the Fuel rail covers look funny without the center cover so I left them off too

When I port, I use these tools:

Professional dremmel Motor base with a flexable shaft cable

Regular dremmel tool for small work

Air Motor with cartridge rolls and burs
and this for the port entry work:

Heres what I was thinking of using, do you think it will do the trick? Im going to weld some extensions on the sanding drums.

The lighter is for shank reference on the burring tools.

The cartridge rolls will work fine but those metal burrs will dig and gouge way too much!!

Unless your EXTREMELY skilled using those burrs, your plastic manifold will NOT be happy!!!

Ok, thanks for the advice, Ill stick to the rolls.

Are you guys using extended shafts to reach the back of the main inlet ?(not the runners)

The only way I can think of getting back there is to weld extensions

Don't get me wrong.. If theres something that needs to be removed or a LOT of material removed quickly,,,,,, those burrs work fantastic. Just don't use them to do fine port work!! I do use them but NOT for port shaping or fine trim work

Something that people don't consider,, sometimes you have to use an EPOXY (I use JB Weld) to build up stuff so that you can properly contour it to maximize the shape to enhance air flow...

Become a molecule of air.. Work your way thru the manifold. if you BUMP into something,,,,,,, it needs to be removed OR modified to ENHANCE air flow!

Plain and simple
