looks like the rear two cylinders, particularly on the passenger side have burned away most of the electrode.

Wow, I totally missed the later posts in this thread. Anyway, the pics posted by LJD51 are what I would expect to see, not the black sooty things that I replaced. The car is still running nicely but I guess at some point I'll have to look at the plugs again to be sure.

Since they are out....change them.

Plug look like engine is running very rich. If tuned, you need a re-tune. If stock, just change them.

I guess I wasn't very clear, but the plugs have been replaced and the car tuned for quite a while. As far as I know the plugs were never replaced so they had about 53k miles on them. I'm also sure the car was running rich, I just don't know for how long.
