Engine light help

I have 2008 z06 and the engine light came on and seems that it staying on, Possibilties question had the battery disconnected this week for 20mins,and put on prior to this haltech bee stinger II couple of weeks ago also checked my gas cap seems tight any answers would be appreciated..

If there is nothing obvious wrong then there's no point speculating. If you don't have a code scanner just take the car to Autozone or similar and pull the code. Then there's no doubt.

Did it come on AFTER the CAI install?

Autozone will read the codes for free

The light came on a few weeks later but I haven't driven the car much do to weather .I noticed the idle surging a bit from 600rpm to 800 at idle sometimes..

Check your install and make sure everything is connected properly. If so, re install your stock air cleaner assy and disconnect the battery for 10 mins or so to clear the memory, then reconnect it and drive it again and see if the light is related.

Check the air-bridge tube and insure its not slipped off the bottom of the intake.

Did the same thing to my 2008 ls3. Light came on a couple weeks after install. Onstar said it was the bank 2 oxygen sensor stuck lean. Had an appt with the dealer and it just went away. Didnt touch a thing. Hope it doesn't come back again

Last night I tighten all the clamps on haltech stinger 2 and made sure gas cap was tight ,disconnected battery well light is off. Drove car for a bit and so far no light
