Default Making a LS3/LS7 MAF for my LS2 Question

I finally have all the parts I need to put this together, my question is, does it make any difference where I put the MAF card in the tube? Meaning forward, middle or back?
I noticed on the LS7 it is towards the front.

Thanks,
John

What are you using for tubing? It all depends on that, the sensor requires that its not placed too close to a bend or too close to the TB. In street rod applications I use a 12" tube and have the sensor mounted at the mid point to eliminate any noisey signal problems. If you get a LS7 style CAI from a aftermarket company like Haltech you can just install the sensor, and it just bolts in, no sense reinventing the wheel. These are all designed to be used with the LS7 MAF.

Using 4" aluminum tubing, didn't want to pay for another cai system (thought about it though).
My Vararam has a 4" outlet so settled on making my own complete LS7 MAF for $100.
