Default Diff gear change

Does anyone have suggestions on where to send my auto diff that's working fine.....to have it turned into a 3:42 for a reasonable fee? Not racing it, don't need hardened halfshafts....just a simple gear swap. It's the undesirable 05 diff. I'm in DFW Tx in case someone knows a local place as well.

in diff's you get what you pay for. RPM TRANSMISSIONS has done many diff's in my area and not one has been a problem. if you are going to do it, upgrade to 06 and above and be done with it. not cheap, but quality is always costly. i race mine all the time also. good luck

I don't mind paying for quality at all but this is for my stock Cadillac XlR and all I want is to not be stock and have a little edge. At best I will change the converter to a 4k setup, 3:42 gears, a tune and intake. Want to maintain the integrity of the stock engine....I do only serious mods to my Z

I am looking also. I was thinking of contacting a 4x4 shop since they do a lot of gear changes in trucks, and I am not convinced that it is that much different.

If man can make it....man can modify it! Lol.
On the serious side....yes you can do gear swaps on them. At least this way you know where the diff has been and how it's been used.

RPM TRANSMISSIONS will do a gear swap. talk to tj. the corvette diff is WAY DIFFRENT than a 4X4. believe me, i built diffs for 28 years. the vette uses special tools that are completely for this diff.

You can just change the ring and pinon, It cost around $400 for the gear set and your seals and such, and another $500 to $600 to put it in, lucky for me im right down the road from Hinson Supercars
