Love it. Only complaint is that it seems to have increased my cold second gear grinding.
When was the last time that you replaced the fluid in your transmission? I had the same 2nd gear cold grind when I first got mine with 70K miles.
Changed the fluid (it REALLY needed it) and that went away.

I’ve never changed it. Car only has 8K miles. That was going to be next. What fluid did you use?
I had some 2nd gear grind when cold. Tried Mobile 1 and found no difference at 50K miles when I replaced my clutch for a different reason. I switched to AMSoil at 55K and got a noticeable improvement, no grind when cold with maybe just a tight feeling for the first or second shift. I have a MGW shifter which I would recommend. Whatever oil you put in the transmission if its a T56 make sure it meets DEXRON III spec.
I have an 09 that second gear has scraped since day one. Been to 2 different dealerships, and they would never acknowledge the problem. Said it was acceptable. I drove the car very little because it bothered me. Well 11 years later I finally fixed it. A new MGW shifter, Redline Transmission fluid, and the anti venom mod. No more scrape, no more notchiness. Finally the car I always wanted.

The anti venom mod is when you add one or two (your preference) Dorman Copper washers (part # 65277) on the transmission detent plug. This plug applies pressure to your shifting forks. Adding a washer (or 2) takes the notchiness out of the shifter. I used 2 washers with my MGW shifter. It now reminds me of my old old 65 of yesteryear that was like cutting through butter. Google Anti Ventom mid for location of plug.
